The most practical BORING BAR SLEEVES for CNC TURNING CENTERS

The NECKED DOWN feature:

When a small diameter boring bar is needed within a large O.D. BORING BAR SLEEVE we found it practical and necessary to reduce the O.D. of the SLEEVE to allow the coolant coming from the turret to enter the hole along the boring bar. This NECKED DOWN feature is unique to MTA.

90 degree spacing between flats and set screws, designed and developed first by MTA. This arrangement will enable you to position the boring bar within the BORING BAR SLEEVE and the BORING BAR SLEEVE within the turret for best result. You will always have a three (3) line clamping to eliminate or reduce chatter.

All BORING BAR SLEEVES are heat treated and precision ground on O.D. and I.D.

All BORING BAR SLEEVES can be furnished with millimeter only or inch and millimeter specification. Hardened and ground PRE-SETTING RINGS are available for all diameters.
